Finally Hitched!

After eight months of tedious preparations, we finally did it! We are now finally hitched! Yeiy!

Few months before the wedding I used to ask him, "God, on our wedding day you can make everything suck but not the weather." Then I remember what I learned when I was in Children of Mary  (a long long time ago): "DO NOT BARGAIN with God, just ask him what you want and he will give it to you if its meant to be." from the day I realized that, my prayers changed.

"God please bless our wedding, make beautiful like the love you gave Vic and I. Please make it a happy and a memorable celebration for us and for our family to keep."

My prayers, our prayers was granted May 18, 2011!!!!!

Everything we asked from above was granted and the Big Boss even threw in some freebies! Hahahaha! We are so blessed that day. Our wedding is everything we asked for and more.

THE WEATHER
The weather is weird that day but I loved it! It was sunny in the morning, no signs of rain but when I was finally  in front of the huge cathedral door getting ready for my grand entrance it started to sprinkle. Light sprinkle on a sunny afternoon! It was a blessing I told my my self... A blessing in deed.

No rain after the ceremony, and no traffic too! Its just that at the reception after Mike Bawa is done with my second look, nawalan ng kuryente! I was not stressed though, because they have a generator. BUT because there was two weddings that day at Bali Garden and we are just using the generator, limited lang ang electricity. It was getting hot! Buti nalang it started to rain, I believe it was a blessing too, kasi lumamig ang paligid. Tumigil naman after the whole reception kaya no hassle for our guests on their way home. YEIY!

CEREMONY
During the ceremony Vic and I was so happy when the priest came to us. We will never forget what he said, "Congratulations and best wishes. Bless you both. Beautiful wedding vows. First time ko nakitang naluha ang mga ninong at ninang while the couple is exchanging vows." Medyo na pressure tuloy ako, I really really really must stick to my promises! Hehehehe.

We are facing the altar whole through out the wedding of course, but when we finally face our guests, pareho lang ang nasa isip namin ni Vic; "Wow bakit parang puno ang cathedral, patay kami sa reception! Hindi ba sumunod ang guests sa RSVP!!! Daming tao!"

Photo c/o our backup photographer (sort of) - Bilbo Amlag! He's great!
PM me if you want to hire him! Affordable rates!

RECEPTION
Bali Garden was beautiful of course, the lights of the capiz chandelier was stunning! We love the table set-up for the guests and I can see my DIYs all over the tables. The tiffany chairs added elegance to the set-up, unlike the "mono-block chairs" that can make a venue look mediocre (no offense po).

No one was standing at the reception. It turns out that almost all our guests attended the ceremony kaya mukang marami. Hindi katulad ng ibang wedding na sa reception lang nakaka attend yung guests. Yipee! Almost everyone (almost) followed the seat reservations and 98%  followed the dress code (everyone who didn't was written at the back of my head, yes I remember them by names. Hehehehe) Everyone ate, ate and ate... We even have enough food for our guest travelling to La Union to take home! Extra takeout food for our home in Sucat too! Yummy!

SUPPLIERS
We couldn't pick the best among all of our suppliers because they were all GREAT! From Joel Escober, The One Exclusive, Nice Print, Bali Garden, Mike Bawa, Rockin Vidographer, Gervy's Amazing Cake to Ate Leia of Clint Carl! Wala talaga, kasi they were all great!!!!

To follow nalang and detailed supplier ratings for all my W@W sisters and for those who are planning to get married.

For the mean time, Here's our Wedding MTV c/o our back-up videographers Rockin Vidographers! Thanks VJ Matias and Vince for making our wedding look so grand!

THE Shoes!

Just cant help looking at my shoe sketch! This is by far the most expensive shoes I ever owned... Hindi naman kasi ako maarte sa sapatos. The first shoes I purchased was pretty but it looks like a disaster together with my wedding dress, di talaga bagay...Baduy... (and yeah I did my 2nd fitting na)

And so I decided to just get it custom made... Yoko ko ng pumalpak, mas magastos... Good thing I have a generous friend from Italy who gave me a hefty amount of wedding gift moolah!!!!! Her gift actually was our wedding rings, pinaalam ko lang na pag may "sukli" I will spend the rest of it to a designer made wedding shoes! Yeiy!

It was Chris Diaz whom I trusted to design my shoes. Joel Escober was the one who told me about him... Promising.. He is so nice and talented...

Here's the sketch!

Lovely! Thanks Maan for another  wedding gift!
