Finally Hitched!

After eight months of tedious preparations, we finally did it! We are now finally hitched! Yeiy!

Few months before the wedding I used to ask him, "God, on our wedding day you can make everything suck but not the weather." Then I remember what I learned when I was in Children of Mary  (a long long time ago): "DO NOT BARGAIN with God, just ask him what you want and he will give it to you if its meant to be." from the day I realized that, my prayers changed.

"God please bless our wedding, make beautiful like the love you gave Vic and I. Please make it a happy and a memorable celebration for us and for our family to keep."

My prayers, our prayers was granted May 18, 2011!!!!!

Everything we asked from above was granted and the Big Boss even threw in some freebies! Hahahaha! We are so blessed that day. Our wedding is everything we asked for and more.

THE WEATHER
The weather is weird that day but I loved it! It was sunny in the morning, no signs of rain but when I was finally  in front of the huge cathedral door getting ready for my grand entrance it started to sprinkle. Light sprinkle on a sunny afternoon! It was a blessing I told my my self... A blessing in deed.

No rain after the ceremony, and no traffic too! Its just that at the reception after Mike Bawa is done with my second look, nawalan ng kuryente! I was not stressed though, because they have a generator. BUT because there was two weddings that day at Bali Garden and we are just using the generator, limited lang ang electricity. It was getting hot! Buti nalang it started to rain, I believe it was a blessing too, kasi lumamig ang paligid. Tumigil naman after the whole reception kaya no hassle for our guests on their way home. YEIY!

CEREMONY
During the ceremony Vic and I was so happy when the priest came to us. We will never forget what he said, "Congratulations and best wishes. Bless you both. Beautiful wedding vows. First time ko nakitang naluha ang mga ninong at ninang while the couple is exchanging vows." Medyo na pressure tuloy ako, I really really really must stick to my promises! Hehehehe.

We are facing the altar whole through out the wedding of course, but when we finally face our guests, pareho lang ang nasa isip namin ni Vic; "Wow bakit parang puno ang cathedral, patay kami sa reception! Hindi ba sumunod ang guests sa RSVP!!! Daming tao!"

Photo c/o our backup photographer (sort of) - Bilbo Amlag! He's great!
PM me if you want to hire him! Affordable rates!

Another photo from back-up photographer/workmate!
PM me for Raymond's contact number!
RECEPTION
Bali Garden was beautiful of course, the lights of the capiz chandelier was stunning! We love the table set-up for the guests and I can see my DIYs all over the tables. The tiffany chairs added elegance to the set-up, unlike the "mono-block chairs" that can make a venue look mediocre (no offense po).

No one was standing at the reception. It turns out that almost all our guests attended the ceremony kaya mukang marami. Hindi katulad ng ibang wedding na sa reception lang nakaka attend yung guests. Yipee! Almost everyone (almost) followed the seat reservations and 98%  followed the dress code (everyone who didn't was written at the back of my head, yes I remember them by names. Hehehehe) Everyone ate, ate and ate... We even have enough food for our guest travelling to La Union to take home! Extra takeout food for our home in Sucat too! Yummy!

SUPPLIERS
We couldn't pick the best among all of our suppliers because they were all GREAT! From Joel Escober, The One Exclusive, Nice Print, Bali Garden, Mike Bawa, Rockin Vidographer, Gervy's Amazing Cake to Ate Leia of Clint Carl! Wala talaga, kasi they were all great!!!!

To follow nalang and detailed supplier ratings for all my W@W sisters and for those who are planning to get married.

For the mean time, Here's our Wedding MTV c/o our back-up videographers Rockin Vidographers! Thanks VJ Matias and Vince for making our wedding look so grand!

99 Days to go!

Today is our 30th monthsary, Vic also reminded me that we only have 99 days before the big day! Wow! Time flies so fast! I promised my self to write about our accomplishments after reaching the 100 days before the wedding, but because I got my hands full this past few days, I am now writhing about the accomplishments and whats next with the 99 days left before the big day!

Accomplishments:

CHURCH - The Cathedral Parish of St. Andrew in Paranaque
This is where my parents got married, it is where I was baptized and where Vic proposed!

This is it! "THE" door!

RECEPTION+CATERER - Bali Garden in Bacoor Cavite
Love the place! When we saw it for the first time we really knew this was the place for us!

I love the colors and the capiz!!!

GOWN - Joel Escober
Love him and his design! If you read my previous blog about him, need I say more? He is the best!

WEDDING COORDINATOR (On the Day) - The One Exclusive
First reason why we got them is that they fit the budget! Package includes on the day coordination with 4 coordinators plus host. Hoping so much for them meet our expectations.

INVITES - Wink!
Booked them during a wedding fair so the price is very reasonable. I wanted our invites to be simple but formal and not cheap looking. Carla and Carlo is our sponsors for the invites. Yeiy!!!

BRIDESMAID GOWNS - 7-in-1 Dress
Love this dresses. Because our budget is too limited I asked our friends to shoulder their dresses. I love the idea that they can use it after my wedding, its just like they are investing on a perfect dress.

GROOM'S SHOES - GBX
Love that Vic chose lace up shoes! It was pure leather and on sale! Perfect!

PHOTO+VIDEO - Nice Print Photography
Time was on our side when we booked Nice Print. Booked them 2010 before the wedding of Regine and Ogie, they where the photographers and videographers for that event. I knew they will have higher rates after that. We are also lucky to have Carla and her haggling skills!

HMUA - Mike Bawa
He is a makeup artist of ABS-CBN and he did Carla and Clariz' makeup for their wedding too. I haven't booked him yet, but I hope I dont change my mind.

UNITY COINS - Matus Jewellery
My Mom and Tito John was surprised when I told them how much this was. But Vic and I wanted them, we plan to make them a family heirlooms so the price for this was not an issue.

PAPER WORKS
Baptismal and Confirmation - GOT IT!

HONEYMOON - Surprise daw!!! Gift from Ninang Jenny!!! Yahoooooo!!!

Waiting for its arrival and confirmation!!

WEDDING RINGS - c/o Maan my best friend! Yehey!!!

SOUVENIRS & GIVEAWAYS - Cadbury Chocolate Bars
This yummy treats is c/o Ate Criz (Vic's ate). Since our wedding theme is chocolates and roses, this were the perfect giveaways. Ate will buy them in UAE and I will just make personalize wrappings.
