Rainy Sunday

Ahhhhhh.. Sundaaaaaaay.. Finally! I have been going to work 3 Saturdays consecutively and Sundays are my only day for relaxation. It's been raining lately and I have nothing to complain except that it's hard to share blanket with a  5'11 "ginawin" husband. It's been chilly all day today, thankfully my sister cooked champorado (sweet chocolate rice porridge)! I want mine with lots of milk and tuyo! Hubby enjoyed a bigger bowl than mine! Happy Sunday everyone! Stay safe and dry!

Carla's champorado!

Sunday's Best: Dunk High, Dunk Low and more!

ONE
Meet my new Nike kicks! I was inlove with the black dunk low Vic gave me and was really planning to buy another one when budget permits. After attending a wedding we visited Nike Park at Paseo to see if there was a duffle bag for Vic. Was not really planning to buy shoes but when Vic and I saw the beautiful red nike dunk high we couldnt resist! Most specialy after seeing it was on SALE at 70%! Yeiy!!!!
I wish I can wear kicks everyday at the office. ^____^
TWO
Flavored taho! We love this stuff so much! My favorite is the mango flavor and Aila likes the buko pandan. I like having it cold because its so refreshing. Super yummy for only P25!

THREE
Make-up haul! Yes I can't believe I have them!  Haul of makeup I have acquired over the past few months. Most recent is the eyebrow pencil, mineral foundation, bonbon pink lipstick and lip shape hot pink sponge. Still cant find the my clinique blush and favorite mineral lipgloss. I should ask Aila. For sure she knows where I can find them.. Hehehehe..

 FOUR
Time to wear a dress! Yeiy! We attended Ares and Ann's wedding. Ofcourse we had to be in our best!
The food was great as well as the whole wedding! Iyakin yung groom! Hahaha!  Glad to celebrate with them.
FIVE
I'm glad I was able to cook for Vic. It's always been my goal to cook for him even atleast once  a week. I prepared sinigang for Saturday's dinner.
Sinigang by Wonder Woman wanna be!

Another wife duty was to iron and prepare our clothes for the coming week. Sometimes the weekends are so busy I cant do this anymore, I was happy to sneak it in my schedule.

Fun time with Vic! Did some catching up with the remaining series (recordings) of Supernatural. It was nice to just watch, eat and bum around  at home.

Pigout: Johnny Rockets ATC

Vic is a huge fan of burgers, that's why he never forgot how yummy Johnny Rockets' burgers are. The first time we learned about this place was a year ago. It was during our wedding preps when we found ourselves in QC dining in this cool restaurant. It was too far from our place that's why we ever had time to go back. You shouldv' seen Vic's face when we saw Johnny Rockets at ATC! He was one happy fella!

AMBIANCE: Classic Americana.

The interiors are pretty and manly at the same time. It's fun to look around.
All Americana interiors!
Aside from the tasty burgers we also like that the crew dance once in a while. It's fun to watch them because it seems they really like what they are doing.

Yeah! Igiling mo kuya!

FOOD: Hamburgers, fries, milk shakes, sandwiches and more!

The fries are unlimited here! Vic has his shortlist of top 5 hamburgers and Johnny Rockets is actually his #1! Huge servings and the service is great.
The unlimited fries! Caaaarbs!!!!
We love how the crew serves ketsup! Cute right?
I wanted to try the delux shakes and malts but it was super pricey. Kaunti nalang ka price na ng meal sa Jollibee ang isa. Because of the kuripot mood I was having we had lemonade instead.

Kuripot Betty + Lemonade = Tipid!
Vic had "Bacon Cheddar Single" - Smoked bacon, double cheddar cheese, iceberg lettuce, fresh tomoato & special sauce (w/o the white onion). The price of this meal is equivalent na ata ng dalawang Cheeseburger sa Mcdo! Gastos! T_____T But anyway Vic love this kind of stuff so go lang. Masarap naman daw eh.
naubos nya lahat!

I was not in the mood for burgers so I ordered the "Chili Dog" - All-beef hot dog with exclusive home style all-meat chili, chopped onions & grated cheddar cheese. Tignan ko palang naumay na ako pero after the first bite..... WOW! Ang sarap! The hot dog was super yummy and it in a bun with the chili and cheese?!! Saraaaap! I managed to eat 2 out of the three slices. Takaw! We took home the third slice, even though it was cold already after we got home masarap pa rin! Promise! kaya hindi na sumama yung loob ko nung nakita ko kung magkano pala yung meal na inorder ko.

OooOooooooh!!!
We had FREE strawberry ice cream! Sarap ng libre...

Free with a minimum purchase of P600 daw!

I lost the receipt so I can't enumerate the price for each meal. We ordered Bacon Cheddar Single, Chili Dog that both comes with unlimited fries, bottomless lemonade and FREE ice cream all for P990 (that's what I remember). I think it's a bit pricey kasi yung burgers nila ranges from P300 to P400, but the service was great and the food was great too. The ambiance is something you will not forget as well as the dancing of the crew..

^_________^
nagutom ulit ako! Patay ang diet....

Sunday gone too soon

Spent the whole (almost) Sunday sleeping. I woke up 12:00pm, had lunch, watched cartoons, felt sleepy again, slept and woke up 6:00pm.. Well rested ey! Hahahaha!

Relaxed and energized, I did my obligations as a wife to my dear hubby! I actually bought broccoli and asparagus from Quipo yesterday so I decided to cook that for hubby.

I call this dish, Beef and Greens Ala Aimee!!!

How to make it?
Slowly boil the beef strips. You have to add a little seasoning to the water because you will use this later as a broth, my choice is Maggie Magic Sarap and pinch of Ajinomoto MSG. After the beef is cooked, separate the beef from the broth and save for later. Saute the beef strips in butter and olive oil with minced garlic and onions. Add the the broccoli and asparagus and stir fry! Throw in some oyster sauce and then the broth. In a separate bowl mix a few teaspoons of baking powder and cold water, stir it well and then add it to the pot. This will make the sauce thicker and yummier!!

It's super yum on top of a steaming white rice!

Yum!

And by the way, can you see how much vibrant the pictures are? Well hubby got his new toy and I got us new curtains.. LV curtains for our room, got this from my trip to "Divilandia"!

I had fun sleeping and cooking but I feel Sunday is gone too soon.. I want more petiks time with hubby and with the tv too! Haaaaaaaay, see you next week Sunday, I will definitely miss you!
